Her most well-known work is her performances in Spamalot's West End original production and the Regent's Park revival of Into the Woods. In recognition of her performance she was nominated for three Olivier Awards. In 2015, she was a part of the Game of Thrones cast as Septa Unella in the fifth season's sixth season. In addition to her main role as Septa Unella, she was also an ensemble member of the 2012 film adaptation of Les Miserables as well as the 2018 British psychological thriller Winter Ridge. Waddingham was nominated for the Golden Globe Award. She was selected to receive the Golden Globe Award for a nominee.
